  • MAWLID AN NABI
    - with guest of honour Shaykh Habib Umar bin Hafiz of Yemen -
    A celebration of the Mawlid of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was held at the Jumua Mosque. In charge of the gathering was Shaykh Dr. Abdaqadir as-Sufi, the founder of the Jumua Mosque and the head of the Qadiri-Shadhili-Darqawi Tariqa. A discourse was given by Shaykh Habib Bewley, the Imam of the Jumua Mosque.

    The gathering was honoured by the visit of Shaykh Habib Umar bin Hafiz of Yemen and a group of his students. A meal and sweets were served at the end.

  • SHAHADAS
    The Mosque has seen many Shahadas both through the organic process of the Jamaat meeting non Muslims and teaching them about the Deen through example and speech or through the many dawa events and shahada festivals we've held offering people a guidance and an opportunity to embrace the Deen.

  • GREAT AND NOBLE NIGHTS IN THE ISLAMIC CALENDAR
    Layla tul Miraj, Mawloud, ect. On these blessed days and nights which all Muslims recognise there are talks, Quran, dhikr and meals held at the Mosque.

  • FEEDING OF PEOPLE
    One of the most important additional activities organised at and by the Jumu’a Mosque is the feeding of people, either at the Mosque or further afield in one of the poorer areas where so many of our great Muslim brothers live.

  • EID UL FITR
    The Eid was celebrated at the mosque, feeding more than two hundred people, it was a wonderful feast.

  • IFTAR
    Dates and milk were served for Iftar every day followed by a soup after Magrib.

  • TARAWIH
    Tarawih was held every day, consisting of twenty rakats, throughout Ramadan after Isha. The Qur'an recitation was completed on the 27th night.
  • LAYLAT UL-QADER
    On this very special night tarawih was extended to two sets of twenty rakats. The mosque remained open for people to stay over throughout the night. Refreshments were served.
